Ajith Kozhikote: Let Us Grow The Health Graph With The Health Camps

All the nations are working towards attaining a positive health graph. The efforts given by the countries to improve the health of their citizens, and give them the environment free of harmful diseases is commendable. So much has been done for improving the health status of the world, still the nations are lacking in setting the quality health standards. Limited resources, inefficient systems, and above all the lack of education amongst the people is the reason of the health disparities still sustaining in the ecosystem.

We need to perform some concrete actions, which can definitely change the present medical situation. For the improvement of the health condition of our citizens, we all have to face some challenges. After all it is about our people and our society. These health initiatives taken by an individual or by the whole population will benefit all of us.

The facts reveal that, in India, about 2 million children under 5 years of age die due to preventable diseases annually, whereas 45 children die every hour because of respiratory diseases. What should we do after knowing these shocking facts? Isn’t this posing threat to the health of our people? Definitely it is, and we must take steps to combat these deadly situations with a timely diagnosis.

So many people are taking the initiatives to improve these worsening situations by organizing health camps at various places. These health camps can be the general health camps or the special camps. In the general health camps, people can get their general check up done by a team of doctors available at the site. Some of the tests which are done during these camps are: sugar tests, blood pressure, ECG, Urine analysis, Blood group determination, Lipid profile, and liver function test. On the other hand, the specialized camps will focus on any specific check up. These camps also educate the people about the basic hygiene and preventive measures.

We can reduce facing these threats by organizing more and more such camps in the remote areas of our country, where the population is deprived of the basic resources.
